DAY 8: Complete and perfect in Him
When God audits us, He sees us complete and perfect because of our union with Christ....
Some have the weird notion that God is angry with the world especially when calamities strike. If a flood wipes off an entire village, someone would say it is because of sin. Insurance companies have a term to describe negative events that occur in the world - “acts of God” but these are not acts of God. How do I know? Because the bible teaches that God is not angry with the world!
Col 1:20 says: “and through him God reconciled everything to himself. He made peace with everything in heaven and on earth by means of Christ’s blood on the cross.”

The word “reconciled” in the text is from the Greek word “ap-ok-at-al-las'-so” and it is to reconcile completely or to bring back a former state of harmony. So, this text says God had fully brought everything in heaven and on earth (which includes you) back to a former state of harmony. In other words, full reconciliation has been achieved between God and His creation!
You have been fully reconciled to God! God is not angry with you or His world! Here is the truth: God is not the angry tyrant, He is not the cosmic cop, He is not the universal killjoy and as long as the blood of Jesus exists, the blood speaks reconciliation, friendship and peace for us!
