DAY 5: God’s desire is your freedom

<p>The desire of God is to set us free from the dominion of anyone and anything that is at cross purposes to the will of God for our lives. Gal 1:4 says: “He’s the Anointed One who offered himself as the sacrifice for our sins! He has rescued us from this evil world system and set us free, just as our Father God desired.”<br>‭‭<br>Read that scripture again. s-l-o-w-l-y<br>What can you see? Christ was our sin sacrifice. He died to redeem us from sin and through that process, he rescued us from this evil world. He rescued us. Meditate on that! What does it mean to be rescued? It means you were in danger but God got you out - just in time. How would you feel if you know that you have just been saved from death? Gratitude? Elation? Awe?</p>

<p>He not only rescued us, He set us free! What does it mean to be free? It means you have no care in the world. It means you are not anxious about life. It means you are not living in fear. It means you are not in bondage! Did you “see” the picture here? You are untouchable by this evil world system. You have been redeemed. What a glorious knowledge.</p>

<p>Now who mandated all of this for us? Our Father God. He desired for us to experience freedom, deliverance from sin and rescue from oppression. Have you ever desired anything? How did you feel when you desired that thing? It was constantly on your mind, right? Desire is an intense passion for something to happen. God had an intense passion for you to live your life to the full and He achieved this through the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus.</p>

<p>Friend, your sins have been forgiven. Don’t hog it again! You have been set free from the dominion of Satan. Don’t rendezvous in his territory again. You have been rescued from the realm of death, so embrace life.</p>
