Grace and Peace are for you

Grace and peace from God are always for you and are to you (Rom 1:7). Since God already made peace with the world through the blood of Jesus shed at Calvary (Col 1:20), when you therefore hear of wars and calamities, they are not from God. The message of an angry God judging the world and pouring His wrath on the world at this present moment, is against the New Testament teaching. Rom 2:5 pointed out a day of wrath in the future for sons of disobedience, but this day is not for the believer (Eph 5:6). In fact, believers have been delivered from the wrath of God (Rom 5:9, 1 Thess 1:10) which will come upon those who rejected Jesus at a time in the future.

Of course, there is the law of sowing and reaping which is still at force today - meaning if you consistently do evil, you can be rest assured that the evil will come back to you but that is not God judging you but you are reaping what you have sown. We have not been destined to wrath (1 Thess 5:9) but to salvation. This good news of a loving, kind and compassionate God, who reconciled the world to Himself through Jesus and who also mandates His children to carry out the ministry of reconciliation is not preached enough (2 Cor 5:19-20).

In Luke 2:13-14, the bible declared that at the birth of Jesus, the angels proclaimed that Godโ€™s peace and goodwill are upon the world. In the new birth, we have the covenant of peace. In fact, the gospel is based on this covenant of peace that God made with Jesus (Is 54:10). There is an audacious statement in Is 54:15 where God says if anyone attacks you, it is not from Him. As a believer, you should walk with a consciousness that God is not angry with you and that His peace are for you. Rom 5:1 says because we are justified by Jesus, we have peace with God. If you meditate Rom 5:8-11, you will notice that God has delivered us from the guilt and consequences of sin through the reconciliatory sacrifice of Jesus. You simply have no business living in guilt and condemnation. #peacewithGod
