I am glad He purchased our freedom from the slave master - Satan. We have been set free in Christ. To be free in Christ means to be delivered from the control or manipulation of anything and anyone whose influence in our lives is at cross-purposes with God’s plan for us.

To be free in Christ means to be delivered from the control or manipulation of anything and anyone whose influence in our lives is at cross-purposes with God’s plan for us.

Even though we have been set free, the bible warns that we have to be alert from being enslaved again. In Gal 5:1, apostle Paul was advising the saints at Galatia for them to stand fast in the liberty that Christ purchased for them.

Christ came to make us free. We must learn to stand in freedom. The primary weapon of slavery is deception. Adam became enslaved when he believed he was not like God (Gen 3), Solomon lost the kingdom when he got himself entangled with strange women and concubines, Peter was tricked when he did not handle the need to be no 1. In fact, the moment you think you are infallible, you are already fallen.

Here is the big question: if God sets you free, how could you be entangled? Only If you don’t believe the testimony of God about you.

What is God’s testimony about you? He says “as I am so are you”, “you are an overcomer”, “you are adopted son/daughter of God”, “you are beloved”, ”you are blessed” and so on. If you believe these testimonies of God, it will affect the way you behave and relate to others. This will guard you from deception and slavery.

What is God’s testimony about you? Act like one and experience freedom in all areas of your life. Shalom
