Out of your own mouth, God has ordained strength.

<p>This week, the Lord brought my attention to a scripture that I think will bless you immensely and which further buttresses the power of your own words over your life.</p>

<p>Psalm 8:1-2:</p>

<p>“O Lord, our Lord, how excellent (majestic and glorious) is Your name in all the earth! You have set Your glory on [or above] the heavens. Out of the mouths of babes and unweaned infants You have established strength because of Your foes, that You might silence the enemy and the avenger. [Matt. 21:15, 16.]”<br>‭‭Psalm‬ ‭8:1-2‬ ‭AMPC‬‬</p>

<p>This scripture first alluded to the strength, power, and glory of God—in the heavens and on the earth. No one can ever deny that God is powerful but look at verse 2, it says: Out of the mouths of babes and unweaned infants You have established strength because of Your foes, that You might silence the enemy and the avenger.</p>

<p>The bible says God established that His strength is manifested on the earth from the mouth of His children! This means God can’t do anything on the earth unless His children speak it! This is a powerful responsibility and one that should fill you with awe. Why did I say that? Because God’s move on the earth is limited to the extent that His children exercise His delegated authority on the earth!</p>

<p>How do God’s children exercise His authority on the earth? By speaking! Out of the mouths of God’s children, He has ordained and established His strength!</p>

<p>Jesus talks about this authority in Matthew 28:18-19: “Jesus approached and, breaking the silence, said to them, All authority (all power of rule) in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. Go then and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,”<br>‭‭<br>Jesus has ALL the authority in heaven and on earth (and there is nothing here for the devil) but that authority is delegated to the church (you and I) for one purpose: to get the nations of the world to have the right knowledge of God!</p>

<p>How do we demonstrate that authority? Jesus says in Matthew 16:19: “I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; and whatever you bind (declare to be improper and unlawful) on earth must be what is already bound in heaven; and whatever you loose (declare lawful) on earth must be what is already loosed in heaven. [Isa. 22:22.]”<br>‭‭<br>The phrase “keys of the kingdom” has the same meaning as “the authority of the kingdom”. So, in Matthew 16, Jesus promised to give His disciples the authority of the kingdom, but in Matthew 28 after He was raised from the dead, JESUS shared that authority with every believer! So, you have the keys of the kingdom… right now. To do what? To disciples nations. What are nations? Nations represent the influences of the world across family, religion, education, media, entertainment, business, and government.</p>

<p>So, how do you use this authority or keys over these nations? Matthew 16:19 says it is through words spoken: whatever you bind (declare to be improper and unlawful) on earth must be what is already bound in heaven; and whatever you loose (declare lawful) on earth must be what is already loosed in heaven.</p>

<p>Through your owns words, you can change your sphere of influence. When you purposely say what God says and make decrees out of your mouth to set the direction of influence, you are using the keys of the kingdom.</p>

<p>As per Psalm 8:2, Why did God ordain His strength through our lips? So that He might silence the enemy and the avenger! The way God silences opposition on the earth is through the church taking her place and using her voice to declare what the end should be!</p>

<p>When we don’t speak, we limit God’s ability to operate on the earth! Christ as the Head of the church is limited to how His body takes advantage of His authority.</p>

<p>Your mouth is a tool in the hands of God! Let’s put it to work!</p>
