There comes a time when you get answers to all you have ever prayed for. There was a time when you had a desire swell up in you. You needed help. You wanted healing. Maybe yours was a long-term goal you had to achieve. A reason birthed your prayers to God. There was a time when you had to wait between your prayers and getting answers.

The Bible in Ecclesiastes 3:1 AMP version says, “There is a season (a time appointed) for everything and a time for every delight and event or purpose under heaven”. Knowing and understanding times and seasons can only be achieved through prayers. Considering the fact that we want to take the right steps per time and not take decisions whose end will be pain and regret. God designed a pattern for each man and to fulfil purpose and destiny, one has to be in sync with this pattern. In Jeremiah 29:11 MSG version, God says, “I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for.” God’s thoughts are filled with how He’d bring you to the future He designed for you. If God says He’s giving us a future we hope for, then our hopes and desires ought to be the same as Gods. So when you pray, ask that there will be a download of the Father’s thoughts and plans into your heart.

Also, we need discernment and a check on what we are affirming. When we are patiently waiting on God, we need to make sure we are spiritually receptive and highly sensitive. This is so that we do not miss out on instructions being communicated to us. We don’t want that nudge, feeling, or impression sidelined when we ought to have taken actions that’d result in our breakthrough.

You see, the Bible says in Ecclesiastes 3:11 “God made everything beautiful in itself and in its time—but he’s left us in the dark, so we can never know what God is up to…” All things – time, purpose, desires, aspirations and dreams happen in a time when they are perfect and fit into God’s plan. An understanding of this would make us appreciate the time of waiting between our prayers and receiving answers.
