Blameless and Faultless.

Am I supposed to have an excuse for imperfection before God? I thought He already instructed us to be perfect like Him. Hey, He even instructed father Abraham to walk before Him in perfection. But what happens when I have struggles and I've done everything I think possible, but there are still signs of imperfections? Why do I still mess up when I know God is watching? Does this often happen to you? What do you do when it does? You probably feel embarrassed and don't feel like talking to God. He's looked down and saw you do bad, so He's mad at you and would punish you. Oops! Not the God you call Father. He knows you are human, you might act foolishly sometimes, and also clearly understands your struggles.

Do you know this perfection that God asks of you has already been attained by Christ? You don't have to overstretch yourself trying to present yourself as perfect before God.

God has made you perfect, innocent and flawless. Do you see those struggles and actions that make you want to crawl back into your shell like a tortoise to hide? God is not holding them against you.

Maybe your mindset is holding you captive or you have a notion different from this truth. All you have to do is to embrace this truth. Continuously assure yourself of whom God has called you. Also, God expects you to be comfortable and to feel welcomed in His presence. Now, gleefully indulge yourself in the awareness of your blameless and faultless actuality.

Yet now he has reconciled you to himself through the death of Christ in his physical body. As a result, he has brought you into his own presence, and you are holy and blameless as you stand before him without a single fault. Colossians 1:22 (NLT).
