Hope: The Fulcrum of Boldness and Courage

<p id="viewer-d4cvh">Without a hope and a confident expectation of what the future holds, we cannot be bold and courageous. Anytime we despair, it is because we have lost hope about the situation. The physical realities confronting us seem to overwhelm us especially when we compare these realities with our limited human resources. For example, you needed a mortgage but you have a bad credit rating and since there is no hope of improving that rating in the nearest future, you will not have boldness or courage to approach a broker for lending. That in turn makes us more hopeless. </p><br><p id="viewer-et032">So, we infer hope brings confidence and boldness. </p><br><blockquote id="viewer-821i8"><strong>God wants you to know that He has called you into a glorious hope not a lifestyle of despondency. </strong></blockquote><br><p id="viewer-c09ha">God wants you to know that He has called you into a glorious hope not a lifestyle of despondency. This is so that you can be bold about life. He wants you to live as if you cannot fail. But what brought this glorious hope? The Gospel! </p><br><p id="viewer-739oc">It is expected that when The Gospel is preached, hopelessness turns to hope. Our God is a joy-giver. In 2 Cor 3:12-13, Apostle Paul was comparing living by the law and living by the Spirit and he concluded that our boldness of speech can only come from knowing that we are no longer living under the law but by the Spirit.</p><br><p id="viewer-4c8k3">In Gal 5:16, we are told that if we are led by the Spirit, we are not under the laws of Moses. In a household, a servant has laws, regulations and boundaries but a son has freedom, rights and privileges of the household. At a time, we were placed under such tutelage of the laws and regulations ourselves but when Christ appeared, we are no longer under such tutelage (Gal 3:24-29).</p><br><p id="viewer-cj2bl">My friend, to face life with boldness, you must realise that you must be led by the Holy Spirit. He is the treasure that we have in our Earthen vessels so that ALL glory can go to God.</p>
