Heb 12:23 TPT says: And as members of the church of the Firstborn, all our names have been legally registered as citizens of heaven! And we have come before God who judges all, and who lives among the spirits of the righteous who have been made perfect in his eyes!

The word “spirits” in the text above is from the Greek word “pneuma” and one of its meanings is “the spiritual nature of Christ, higher than the highest angels and equal to God, the divine nature of Christ”. You have the spiritual nature of Christ right now – not when you get to heaven. No! right now – the very moment you made Jesus your Lord and Saviour; God gave you the Spirit of Jesus as yours.

Did you know that the phrase “made perfect” in Heb 12:23 is actually from the same root word that the words “it is finished” that Jesus spoke at the cross came from? That word is “telioo” in Greek and it means “to add what is yet wanting in order to render a thing full or to bring to the end goal”. You have been brought to your intended goal. You have been made perfect because of the Spirit of Jesus living inside of you.
