Day 12: Peace with God
“and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in hea...

There was only one possible way for God to give away his righteousness and still be true to both his justice and his mercy—to offer up his own Son.

God can only declare you righteous if He finds a way to do away with your sin - and thank God He did when Jesus was faithful in being offered up as a sin sacrifice for the world.

So now, because we stand on the faithfulness of Jesus and because we are united together with God’s Son, Jesus Christ, God declares us righteous in His eyes!

It is not right for us to claim that God has declared us righteous in Christ but at the same time claim that He has declared us a sinner. That is a massive contradiction. Why? Because righteousness is a gift from God to everyone who believes in Jesus as Lord and Saviour.

That gift was not something you had to work for to gain it hence you don’t have to “work” to maintain it. Rom 3:28 concludes: “..God’s wonderful declaration that we are righteous in his eyes can only come when we put our faith in Christ, and not in keeping the law.”
â€â€
The law demands “work” in order to be right with God but faith demands no such thing. Faith demands trust.

Missed Wednesday Bible study? Please go over here to watch it. We used Romans 4:25 as the main text:
“Jesus was handed over to be crucified for the forgiveness of our sins and was raised back to life to prove that he had made us right with God!”
â€â€Romans‬ â€4:25‬ â€TPT
