Scars are signs that we pulled through. Through this time-zoned phase we all exist in, it could be hellish. The journey of life is full of things that are pulling us, and the next hour might come with a variable opposed to the glee of the present minute.

Plans, ambitions, wishes, and dreams keep our foot on the gas. And as we journey along, there will be labour, stress, striving, troubles, hostility, pains, aches, and sorrows synonymous to this thing called life. These stab and jab and cut through us, leaving us with wounds.

A child of God isn't exempt from the wounds and scars of life. We are able to keep moving because of the ease and peace our good Lord promised us. We deal with whatever life throws at us when our spirit man is standing firm with the sword (word of God) drawn and our mouths cooperating to speak the word of God.

Just like a physical wound doesn't heal up in a day, the wounds sustained in this life journey takes a while before healing. In the book of 1 Peter 5:17 it says, “Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.” Don't ever think that God is not concerned about the tiniest thing going on in your life. He says, “I, even I, am he that comforteth you.”(Isaiah 51:12) Thus, his presence in our lives makes a difference which should channel our response to life guided also by 1 Thessalonians 5:18 “Whatever happens, keep thanking God because of Jesus Christ. This is what God wants you to do.”(CEV).

Be rest assured that you will pull through whatever, and when you see the scars, just smile because they are reminders that you are a victor.
