Day 12: Peace with God
“and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in hea...

Did you know that when Jesus faced the ultimate challenge of His ministry when all who were close to Him abandoned Him and He had to face the chief priests and Pilate etc and He had to be subjected to horrible, despicable experiences of humiliation, injustice etc, that the only sustaining Force that kept Him was the assurance that Abba has never left Him?

Â

Do you know there is comfort in knowing that no matter how despised we may have been by our friends, colleagues and family members, that God is always with us? There is no greater joy and sustaining hope in life to know that the eyes of the One who sees all watch over you. That this God IS dependable. That He can be trusted. That He can even use the negatives in your life to work for your good.

Â

In my life, I have seen countless times when Abba has come through. When you are down to your last meal and you have done all you can, remember Abba has made provision available to you already. The God who never leaves me is the one who made provision for every of my needs ahead of my needs.

Â

Ha, He is the One who thinks ahead for me and makes the crooked path straight. He did not do it when I needed it. Oh, He did it before I knew that I needed it. Before I start threading the path, He apportioned and allocated a route for me to take. This God, always has my best interest at heart. His words to me are meant to lead me to life.

Â

The God who never leaves me is the One who made the way of salvation available to me even when I did not know I needed it. The God who never leaves me is the One who became like me in order to set me free. Oh, the God who loves me is the same One who has never left me.

Jesus alluded to the same concept in Jn 16:32... He said, “my Father is with me. He has never left me“. Are you feeling left alone? Let me tell you - you are in reality, not alone. Our Daddy's arms are always open to welcome you. God is not angry with or at you. You may have missed the mark or ignored Him but do know this for a fact that He is longing and desirous of you coming back home.

Â

In the story of the prodigal son, we see the compassionate Father at work. You see, the Father is the One who was longing and looking from afar off for the lost child. You may have missed your way, or ignored His prompting or perhaps you have hitherto thought you wasted your time, it is not too late to come back to Abba. Always remember, it is the goodness of Abba that leads to repentance.

Â

The God who never leaves is the One who watches over you when you are asleep. Ain't you grateful there is someone who watches over you who neither sleeps nor slumber? I tell you Abba is at your bedside singing lullaby of how special you are to Him. His presence in your bedroom stills all the raging storms. Can you perceive it? Do you focus on His love for you? Do you know that Abba has literally bankrupted heaven to bring you into a relationship with Himself?

Â

As you do whatever you do today, I encourage you to be consciously aware of the God who never leaves - Converse with Him. He is not distant. He is nearer to you than your skin. He lives in you, He walks with you. He is ahead of you. He covers your back and He is all around you. Abba is worth it.
