Day 12: Peace with God
“and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in hea...

Anytime I hear “Jehovah Jireh”, I automatically relate this to mean “The God who provides for all our needs” according to Gen 22:14, but there is a deeper meaning to this name of God. It was a name that Abraham called God when He supernaturally supplied a ram for the burnt offering on Mt Moriah as a substitute for Abraham’s son, Isaac.

What does Jehovah Jireh mean? It means “on the mount of the Lord, it shall be seen or provided”. What shall be seen or provided? A substitute sacrifice. Who is this Substitute? The Lord Jesus was typified on that mount as the ram caught in a thicket.

Whatever your needs may be, God is communicating that Jesus is the Supply House and the Source that can never run dry. It was this revelation that Abraham got on the mountain that made God swore by Himself that it is through Abraham’s seed (that is Jesus) that the families of the earth will be blessed.

Here is a question: has that promise of God been fulfilled? Yes!!!!! All the families of the earth is blessed because of Jesus. Because of this, God wants you to judge Him faithful when He says to you in 1 Cor 1:20 that “as many are the promises of God, they have been fulfilled in Jesus and that you have to say “amen” to them”

Jehovah Jireh is not just God providing for us, no, it is a covenant name of God that judges God as faithful, not just to meet our every need but to make us trust God as the Fulfiller of Promises.

God is faithful!
God can be trusted!
God is dependable!
God was, God is and God will always be our Father who did not spare any expense in bringing us back to Himself.

If God thus values you, should you not value yourself and act like a champ?
