How to Fast and Overcome the Negativity of Fear.

Fear exists in every human. We have fear of failure, fear of the future, fear of uncertainty, fear of trusting people, fear of dying, fear of stagnation and a lot more fears. Fear is an unpleasant emotion, and emotions are a drive towards our actions and reactions. A belief in God, his promises and faith claims does not stand a ground near fear. This is because fear is an opposition to these, and thus it cripples our trust. You see, the saying that we attract our fears is true and since we have these fears but honestly never want them to happen, we seek help to get rid of them.

The thought of fear dispenses an aura that controls us. It robs us of confidence and esteem. As a child of God, it makes you feel unworthy to talk to your Father. It will make you think and act like a slave and makes it impossible for you to accept the new life and identity that Christ has given you. Fear makes one a victim, which is different from whom God has us—victors. So fear comes into our lives majorly through the negative words that we speak, and also by what we hear and watch.

We cannot deny the fact that we have fears, but we can fight them. Our responsibility, therefore, is to meditate on God’s word, which will have a turnaround effect on our speech. Thus, instead of speaking negativity and embracing the foul air of fear created by words, we are saturating it with God’s promises. It is noteworthy to know that for every experience we have had or will have, there is a promise from God for it. God loves you perfectly, He is with you and therefore you should fear no evil. The Bible says in 2 Timothy 1:7 AMP “For God did not give us a spirit of timidity or cowardice or fear, but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of sound judgment and personal discipline [abilities that result in a calm, well-balanced mind and self-control].”
