Col 2:13 says “We have been resurrected out of the “realm of death” - never to return because we are forever alive and forgiven of all of our sins”.

A realm by definition is a kingdom and a kingdom simply means “the king’s domain” - a territory ruled by a king. A kingdom usually has a code of ethics which is the acceptable conduct of the citizens in the kingdom and their representation of the kingdom. This code includes moral standards, social relationships, personal conduct, attitude, attire and manner of life.

This text says we have been resurrected from the realm where death rules - never to return. Why? Because we are forever alive and forgiven of all our sins.

In which kingdom are we now? The realm of life (because life is the opposite of death) and what do we have in this realm? Resurrection Life and Righteousness. What is the code of ethics in the Kingdom of Life? Righteousness consciousness - not sin consciousness! If your conversations and mannerisms speak so much of sin and death, then it means that you have not grasp the irreversibility of how God translated you from darkness to light!

2 Peter 1:9 says: “For whoever lacks these qualities is blind—shortsighted [closing his spiritual eyes to the truth], having become oblivious to the fact that he was cleansed from his old sins.”

Renew your mind to this truth: you now belong in the kingdom of life and righteousness! Let’s us refrain from sin consciousness. If you constantly talk of sin , then you have forgotten this truth that your sins are forgiven and you are now in the kingdom of righteousness!
