Day 36: As He is, so are you in this world

<p>“In this [union and fellowship with Him], love is completed and perfected with us, so that we may have confidence in the day of judgment [with assurance and boldness to face Him]; because as He is, so are we in this world.” 1 John‬ ‭4‬:‭17‬ ‭AMP‬</p>

<p>One of the many blessings of the believer is this truth - that we are not to be afraid of the day of judgement. On the Day that God judges the world, you are not meant to look forward to this Day in dread and fear. Why? Because His love is completed and perfected in you. How is His love perfected in us? V16 gives the reason:</p>

<p>“We have come to know [by personal observation and experience], and have believed [with deep, consistent faith] the love which God has for us. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides continually in him.”</p>

<p>This means unless you know and believe how much God loves you, you will be afraid of the Day of judgement. God wants you to face the future with boldness and review your past without regret and in this text He is reminding you of one truth that will help you to do that: You are right now exactly like Jesus - in your Spirit!</p>

<p>Since you are exactly like Jesus is because of the Holy Spirit who permanently lives in you, then there is no need to fear the Day of judgement!</p>
