“having been buried with Him in baptism and raised with Him [to a new life] through [your] faith in the working of God, [as displayed] when He raised Christ from the dead.”Colossians‬ â€2‬:â€12‬ â€AMP‬‬

Burial usually follows death. In the reckoning of God, not only was our old Adamic nature (that part that had the propensity to love sin) judged and considered dead and buried with Jesus, we were also automatically raised to the new life in Christ, the very moment that God raised Jesus from the dead.

Your old nature is dead! Never ever to rise again! That sinner died at Calvary and was given a burial at the tomb. Then what? Well, God birthed the new creation ( new life in Christ) when He raised Him (Jesus) from the dead! This is a spiritual reality that stands forever.

Now, you are in that new creation. Your new life and identity is now Christ (Col 3:4). You are so united with Jesus that God sees you as “one” with Him. That is why if you believe this truth, you can’t claim to be a new creation believer (born again) and at the same time claim that you are still a sinner - it is a major contradiction and does not add up!
