DAY 19: You are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus

<p>To be righteous is to be in such a right standing with God the same way Jesus is with God right now. It means to stand before a thrice Holy God without a feeling of shame, condemnation and guilt. It means to be enrobed with the righteousness of God Himself (2 Cor 5:21).</p>

<p>A beautiful picture that depicts our right standing before God is given to us in Zechariah 3 where Joshua, the High Priest was being accused by the devil - the same way Satan accuses every believer today (Rev 12:10). The Lord did 5 things that show your right standing:</p>

<p>1) Rebuked Satan 2) Declared that He chose you and that you are already plucked out of fire 3) Affirmed that your sins have been forgiven 4) Removed your filthy garment 5) enrobed you with a rich garment.</p>

<p>That rich garment is the garment of righteousness. Every believer has put on Christ (Gal 3:27) who is the very righteousness of God. Christ is your righteousness (1 Cor 1:30). Christ makes you stand before God clean, whole and free. God sees in you the very righteousness of Himself. Any other thoughts contrary to this view is the voice&nbsp;of&nbsp;the&nbsp;Accuser.</p>
