Confidence towards God

Suppose you have a child whom you love dearly but whenever h/she needs anything from you - say to go play outside or buy the latest Nike shoes, h/she has to tremble and fear because h/she is not sure of your mood or worse h/she has to go through the maid to place his/her requests. How would that make you feel?

Some believers relate to God as if they are servants or beggars - not fully taking advantage of their position in Christ. This is a tragedy. A misnomer. God is your Father. In Christ, He desires you to have confidence towards Him (2Cor3:4) - this means whatever He has done for Jesus, He will do for you. The effect? Come boldly to the throne room. Look upon His beautiful face. Enjoy His presence. Be confident there. This will affect your prayer life. You have been accepted. He welcomes you. He embraces you. Sings for you.

God is your Father.
